Edvard Grieg (1843-1907) was a Norwegian composer and pianist from the Romantic era. Integrating elements from Norwegian folk music into his work, he's seen as a central figure in bringing Norwegian music to international recognition. Since his debut piano concert in 1861, he composed many works, including a symphony, piano sonata, violin sonatas, the score for for Henrik Ibsen's play 'Peer Gynt' and more.
