Biography

Nick McMahan is an audio engineer and nature field recordist from Washington State who's worked with acclaimed field recordist Gordon Hempton, Apple TV+, Audible Sleep Sound, and on numerous independent collaborations. He has extensive experience recording internationally from -30 degrees in central Canada to the Amazon Rainforest and many locations across the US. Specializing in soundscapes, ambiances, binaural, rare and unusual sounds, he's also the Director of Quiet Trails for Quiet Parks International (QPI).
