William Walker

Biography

William Walker (1809-1875) was an American composer and publisher of religious music. He rose to prominence in the mid 19th century for putting music to the beloved poem 'Amazing Grace', composing the world-famous hymn and publishing it for the first time in his best-selling book Southern Harmony which is still in print today.
