There’s a bridge and it is wide
It’s what keeps us together and it’s the reason we divide
Some days it’s strong, some days it’s weak
Some days it’s narrow and a little out of reach
Some choose to build it up, some choose to tear it down
Leave it to ruin, say this world’s come too unwound
But there’s a high road, that stands above what we have lost
‘Cause all bridges are meant for us to cross
There’s a bridge and it is long
Every passing conversation, is a choice of right or wrong
It’s who we are now, not what we’ve done
It stands tall above the rivers that flow to who we love
Some go the distance, some choose to stay behind
It’s the changing of your heart that will open up your mind
And there’s a high road that stands above what we have lost
And all bridges are meant for us to cross
The longer that we wait
The harder it will be tomorrow
There’s no guarantee how much time we have to borrow
There’s a bridge from you to me
If we don’t work to hold it steady, it’ll break beneath our feet
There’s a high road that stands above what we have lost
‘Cause all bridges are meant for us to cross
All bridges are meant for us to cross
It’s what keeps us together and it’s the reason we divide
Some days it’s strong, some days it’s weak

Let’s say the things
That we both know
Gonna take these words and make them stone
I know a place
On the edge of town
Where whiskey and the wind are the only sound
Let’s make like a tree, grow some roots
Do all the things that old folks do
I need you and you need me
What else more could someone need
You’ve got a key and I’ve got a lock
Let’s build a house upon a rock
Let’s build a house upon a rock
I want someone to lie with
Rely on to fly with
Wanna drive all night and head out west with
Get lost in Montana
Find the Santa Ana’s
If we’re going nowhere we’re going nowhere fast
Hard times come but hard times pass
I’ll be there when the sky turns black
I need you and you need me
What else more could someone need
You’ve got a key and I’ve got a lock
Let’s build a house upon a rock
Let’s build a house upon a rock
And if that well runs dry
That will never cross our minds
So bring on the after shock
Let’s build a house upon a rock
Let’s build a house upon a rock
That we both know
Gonna take these words and make them stone
I know a place
On the edge of town
Where whiskey and the wind are the only sound

Come hell or high water
I’ll walk right out that door
Come hell or high water
I’ll make you miss me no more
Come hell or high water
I’ll tie you to this track
Come hell or high water
I’ll leave you and never look back
Someday (you’ll come running)
Somehow (rivers calling)
You’ll see (I’ll be longing)
I’m free
Come hell or high water
I’m gonna make you love me
Come hell or high water
I’ll bring your blue skies down
Come hell or high water
I’ll kiss you and make no sound
Come hell or high water
I’ll catch you before you fall
Come hell or high water
I’ll come in like a wrecking ball
Someday (you’ll come running)
Somehow (rivers calling)
You’ll see (I’ll be longing)
I’m free
Come hell or high water
I’m gonna make you love me
Come hell or high water
Maybe I don’t know you at all
Or maybe I just like how it feels
With our backs against the wall
Maybe I’m reckless or
Maybe I played the fool
Come hell or high water
Baby, I think I want you
Someday (you’ll come running)
Somehow (rivers calling)
You’ll see (I’ll be longing)
I’m free
Come hell or high water
I’m gonna make you love me
I’ll walk right out that door
Come hell or high water
I’ll make you miss me no more

Hey highway
What do you say
If we took some time
And wandered down your white lines
Hey highway
You know I can’t stay
And the leaving ain’t as hard as staying gone
Hey highway
Hey horizon
I’m keeping my eyes on
You and what you promised that you’re holding
But this road widens
As this sky brightens
And the sun is wiping pain from my face
Hey highway
Still water runs deep
And love is too damn cheap
In that town, to turn back around
My vices and my demons
What you took and what I’m hoping you have found, are gone from me now
So goodbye today
Hey highway
Hey heartache
You’ve made a mistake
You can’t break a heart that was already broken
So go and move on
Find another sad song
In some smoky bar with old guitars
You ain’t welcome in this car
Hey highway
What do you say
If we took some time
And wandered down those white lines
What do you say
If we took some time
And wandered down your white lines
Hey highway
You know I can’t stay
And the leaving ain’t as hard as staying gone

I'll be your chase it down, Tough it out
Sideline when there’s no crowd,
Or the roots in your ground.
I’ll be your wrecking ball, brick wall
Glass of wine or whiskey strong,
The good when it’s gone.
The right when it’s all wrong
I’ll lay next to you
Let our bodies fall easy
Let my hands receive you
I’ll lay next to you
Light this bed on fire
Gasoline to a lighter
I’ll watch you burn brighter
I’ll lay next to you
I’ll lay next to you
Give you space let your dreams take flight
If they fly away, I’ll hold you tight
If you fall, I’ll lay next to you
I’ll lay next to you
From sundown to sunrise,
That lying truth, that sober high
Your last bet to buy
An open field, a wild horse, those four wheels
If you’re wanting more
Or if you just wanna ride.
Sideline when there’s no crowd,
Or the roots in your ground.
I’ll be your wrecking ball, brick wall
Glass of wine or whiskey strong,
The good when it’s gone.
The right when it’s all wrong
I’ll lay next to you
Let our bodies fall easy
Let my hands receive you
I’ll lay next to you
Light this bed on fire
Gasoline to a lighter
I’ll watch you burn brighter
I’ll lay next to you
I’ll lay next to you
Give you space let your dreams take flight
If they fly away, I’ll hold you tight
If you fall, I’ll lay next to you
I’ll lay next to you
From sundown to sunrise,
That lying truth, that sober high
Your last bet to buy
An open field, a wild horse, those four wheels
If you’re wanting more
Or if you just wanna ride.
