Meshy AI: Turn One Image into a Textured 3D Model

Meshy AI turns a single photo or text prompt into a textured, remeshed 3D model with PBR materials. Choose Meshy 7.1 for 4K geometry on High, or Meshy V7 with Ultra Geometry.

What Is Meshy AI?

Meshy AI is a 3D generation model family on Artlist: one image or a text prompt in, a textured, remeshed GLB model out. Choose Meshy 7.1, the newer version, or Meshy V7. Both use Low, Medium and High presets, with 100K faces on High. The difference is on High: 7.1 runs a 4K geometry pass, V7 runs Ultra Geometry. Pick one per project, or run both.

What Is Meshy V7?

Meshy V7 turns one image or a text prompt into a textured mesh remeshed to a set face count. Low runs 5K faces, Medium 30K faces with PBR materials, and High 100K faces with PBR and Ultra Geometry for finer surface detail. Every output is remeshed, so size is predictable, and exports as GLB. Pick one preset per project; Artlist fixes the rest.

What’s New in Meshy 7.1?

Meshy 7.1 keeps Meshy V7’s Low, Medium and High presets, and the upgrade is on High. It runs Meshy’s 4K geometry pass at 100K faces, so panel lines, engraving and fabric folds live in the shape itself, not just the texture. For hard-surface props and detailed objects, that means sharper results than V7’s top preset, with the same preset workflow.

What You Can Do with Meshy AI

  • Image to 3D

Upload one image, JPG or PNG. Meshy 7.1 and Meshy V7 infer the sides and back the image doesn’t show and generate a complete textured model.

  • Text to 3D

Describe a single object in a prompt. Both models build a textured 3D model from the description, no reference image needed.

  • PBR Materials

On Medium and High, every output includes PBR materials: metal, gloss and surface relief respond to scene lighting in any 3D environment.

  • High-Detail Geometry

On High, Meshy 7.1 runs a 4K geometry pass and Meshy V7 runs Ultra Geometry, so panel lines, engravings and small-scale shapes stay in the mesh.

Frequently Asked Questions

Both models output textured, triangle-based meshes in GLB format, remeshed to the selected preset’s face count so file size stays consistent regardless of the prompt. Meshy 7.1 uses 10K, 30K and 100K faces on Low, Medium and High; Meshy V7 uses 5K, 30K and 100K.

Meshy 7.1 is the newer version. The step up is on High: 7.1 runs Meshy’s 4K geometry pass at 100K faces for sharper surface detail than V7’s top preset, which runs Ultra Geometry. 7.1’s Low preset is also 10K faces versus 5K on V7. Both use the same Low, Medium and High preset approach.

Low generates a 10K-face mesh with no PBR, which is blockout quality. Medium outputs 30K faces with PBR materials. High goes up to 100K faces, adds PBR and runs the 4K geometry pass, so fine detail like panel lines and engraving lives in the shape.

Low generates a 5K-face mesh with standard geometry and no PBR, useful for quick blockouts. Medium outputs 30K faces with PBR materials. High goes up to 100K faces, adds PBR, and runs an Ultra Geometry pass for finer surface detail.

Meshy 7.1 takes one image (JPG or PNG) for Image-to-3D, or a text prompt of up to 600 characters for Text-to-3D. On Image-to-3D the prompt is not used and the image alone drives the result. For text, describe one object per prompt.

Meshy 7.1 and Meshy V7 output static meshes. Characters keep the pose from the input image, and the triangle-only topology isn’t set up for rigging or animation out of the box. For rigged characters, pair the output with a dedicated rigging tool.

No. Meshy 7.1 and Meshy V7 are preset-only and use a random seed every run, so a result can’t be reproduced or fine-tuned. All other settings are fixed by Artlist. To steer the output, change the input image or prompt and pick the preset that fits.

Use one object in a clear view on a plain background, filling most of the frame, and crop out props and hands. For characters, start from a neutral pose with arms away from the body, since the pose is kept. Pick High for hard-surface detail.

Meshy AI sits between Artlist’s other 3D options in polygon range: 5K–100K faces across Meshy V7 and 7.1, compared to up to 50K for Tripo H3.1 and up to 1.2M for Hunyuan 3D v3.1 Pro. Its strength is predictable, remeshed output with PBR at Medium and High.
