Biography

James Thatcher of Sky River Sound is a field recordist and sound designer living near Seattle, Washington. Surrounded by vast nature, he combines his passions for sound and the outdoors, capturing sounds from his local environment, from alpine lakes to temperate rainforests and orca whales.

With a background in music production, he has experience working as a recording and mix engineer. He is also a recording musician himself, publishing songs promoting mental health awareness under the name Adia.
