One more note one more breath
One more go is all I get
This time around
One more night to sing a song
See the light dance along
An empty floor I’ve come to know quite well
I’ve been lost underneath its spell
Just for now I bid to you farewell
Dig my heels in do my best
Try to forget all the rest
Remember my good intentions
Caught up in the whirlwind of
Forgot about my faith in love
To make the whole thing disappear
I’ve been lost the fog’s begun to clear
Just for now I’ll patiently wait here
If every note is my last
I’ll light a fire strike a match
Tomorrow comes the voice is lost
At least I’ll have had one more song
One more note one more breath
One more go is all I get
This time around

Jagged metronome of typewriter keys
A simple thought brings you to me
And I’m thankful everyday
I’m so glad I found you the old fashioned way
In a time when we want it all
Everything so fast
I’ll write a text no time to call
To slow down oh I pray
I’m so glad I found you the old fashioned way
I’ll write to you with ink from a pen
Feel the weight as the words sink in
My mind moves too fast for my hand
I need to tell you this way while I still can.
It was so dark that warm summer night
I much prefer it to the bright blue light
I feel the need to say
I’m so glad I found you the old fashioned way
I’ll write to you with ink from a pen
Feel the weight as the words sink in
My mind moves too fast for my hand
I need to tell you this way while I still can.
Jagged metronome of typewriter keys
Another page done my soul at ease
And I’m thankful everyday
I’m so glad I found you the old fashioned way

One two ships in the harbor
One two lives to be lived
We rejoice the one to set sail
With no thought of the ship coming in
One two feet back on dry land
And I’m ready to go out again
I long for the salt in the air
Giving me freedom taking my cares
Away we go
Away we go
Oh my sweet darling
I’ll follow the shore and the keel
Oh I will find you
If only love is real
I fought hurricanes and gales
Mountains made of ice are cathedrals in midair
One two ships to cross paths
Seven lifetimes we meet at last
Away we go
Away we go
Oh my sweet darling
I’ll follow the shore and the keel
Oh I will find you
If only love is real
If only love is real

the color of your eyes
the pattern on your shirt
the shape of your shadow
the rest just a blur
I try so hard to remember more
The sweetness of your breath
The joke you always told
The way you wore your hat when it got cold
Somehow i’m forgetting the details of your face.
I take a photograph
So to not forget
When I’m looking back
I have no regrets
But even then I will find some things lost to time
The funny thing about memory
I what we leave behind.
The way you always cried
When I came back home
That look was in your eye
No sinner could atone
No mountain I could climb could lift me to your height.
The funny thing about memory
Is what we leave behind
The funny thing about memory
I’m forgetting all the while.

I see it on the wall,
Your light was the writing after all.
But I gotta know,
Will you let it die or let it glow?
Gimme something to follow,
Tell me hope isn’t hollow,
Holding on, holding on.
If we go down, remember,
That we go down together
I’m holding on, holding on.
Time was on our side,
Just a distant flicker in the night.
We were wild and free,
Now that time’s running out for me.
Gimme something to follow,
Tell me hope isn’t hollow,
Holding on, holding on.
If we go down, remember,
That we go down together
I’m fighting to run, fighting to hold on.
Hold on, Hold on
Hold on, Hold on
Hold on, Hold on
Hold on, Hold on
Gimme something to follow,
Tell me hope isn’t hollow,
Holding on, holding on.
If we go down, remember,
