CHARIOTS is UK singer-songwriter and producer Tom Read. Conceived off the back of an ambitious project to write, record and release one song a month in 2015, CHARIOTS creates infectious indie-pop that combines enticing melodies with poignant lyrics.

An international singer-songwriter, Tom spent a large part of his youth in Hong Kong, and toured across Asia performing and collaborating with Asian and western artists. In 2013, he returned to the UK to focus on songwriting, and has spent the last few years writing and performing extensively across the UK and Europe.

In 2016, Tom started to release new music under the name CHARIOTS. Having already had songs featured on BBC Introducing Oxford, the debut EP from CHARIOTS was released in June 2016, and was nominated for ‘Best Album / EP of the Year’ at the Unsigned Music Awards 2016, selected out of over 3000 entries by a panel of 80 music industry experts including presenters, producers, and editors from BBC, MTV, PRS, The Guardian, Sony Music and others.

In 2018, CHARIOTS released his single ‘Long Time Coming’ written with Rob Davis (Kylie, Mika) and co-produced by Willie Weeks.
