crop for the village is the producer moniker for vicki huang, a singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, producer and composer. vicki studied audio engineering and music production at the university of michigan’s school of music, theatre, and dance. her professional experience includes work in video art, projection mapping, audiovisual programming, motion graphics, 360 cameras and virtual reality. after working in los angeles in mostly visual fields, she shifted her focus back to music and currently resides in new jersey. vicki is passionate about the intersection of sight and sound, creating sonic worlds for storytelling and new media.
crop for the village produces music for film and new media and is fluid in many genres exploring minimal piano instrumentals, acoustic, ambient orchestral, chill/lofi hip hop, techno and deep house.
