What are Artboards?

Meet Artboards — a better way to curate assets for your projects, and the upgraded version of My Collections. They’re your new go-to tool for crafting AI-powered, audio-visual mood boards in Artlist.

Whether you’re brimming with ideas or seeking a spark of inspiration, Artboards are here to help you organize and refine your creative vision. This innovative tool acts as your personal creative assistant, harnessing the power of AI to suggest music, sound effects, and footage for your project.

Having the right assets at your fingertips in seconds can help you work smarter and better. You’ll find more assets, get fresh ideas, and discover more relevant content. From films to music videos and beyond, Artboards streamline the pre-production stage, making your creative process smoother and more efficient.

How to create an Artboard

  1. Find Artboards in the left side menu and click on +
  2. Describe your project — e.g., an Instagram story for a sustainable fashion brand with a youthful vibe
  3. Click Get Suggestions
  4. Get tailored content suggestions for your project

You can play around with the suggested assets and mix and match the video footage with the music and SFX until everything just clicks and you see your ideas come to life.

Just edit your descriptions to get updated suggestions.

You can also create an Artboard without AI-generated suggestions. After adding a new Artboard select the option to Create a blank Artboard, and then add the assets you like. You can always add a description later, if you like.

Put briefs straight into Artboards

Artboards are a great way to kick off client work. Just take the text from your brief and put it into the description box. You’ll instantly get a selection of music, SFX, and footage to jump-start your creative process.

Because it’s easy to share Artboards, you can use them to get quick initial feedback on creative directions with your clients, before moving forward with specific routes.

How to share your Artboard

One of the most important tasks for you as a creator is clearly communicating your vision to stakeholders. Whether you need to explain a concept to actors, get financial buy-in from investors, communicate your visual treatment, or something else, an Artboard is a great way to share your ideas.

You can easily share your Artboards with collaborators, clients, or anyone else. To send your Artboards:

  1. Go to your Artboard
  2. Click the share symbol in the top right of the screen
  3. Share by email, social media, or by copying the link.
