Biography

Georges Bizet (1838 - 1875) was a French composer from the Romantic period. A son to 2 musicians, he began learning music at an early age. He's best remembered for his operas, particularly the last one he wrote before his death, 'Carmen' (1875), that continues to be one of the most frequently performed operas worldwide.
