I’ll hold on tighter to you
When all this is through
And till I hold tight onto you
we’ll just head down carry on, ‘cause what else can we do
But get through
And we’ll sing hallelujah
But what is that to ya right now
But let's talk in a way that can give us
Some faith to go around
We’ll hold tight as we can
When it’s better again
And that will sustain me for now
I’ll hold on tighter to you, my friend
When we’re together again
Together again
When we’re together again
When all this is through
And till I hold tight onto you
we’ll just head down carry on, ‘cause what else can we do
But get through
And we’ll sing hallelujah
But what is that to ya right now
But let's talk in a way that can give us
Some faith to go around
We’ll hold tight as we can
When it’s better again
And that will sustain me for now
I’ll hold on tighter to you, my friend
When we’re together again
Together again
When we’re together again
Hungry for the road all my life
Thirsty for adventure all my youth
Chasing all my freedoms
Down Liberty Avenue
Everytime I hear a phrase
My mother used to say to me
Everything happens for a reason
I get the feeling, I need
A little taste of home, home home
Just a little taste of home, home, home
A little taste of home, home, home
I need a little taste of home.
Nothing like kitchen conversation
Steam coming up off the stove
Photographs down the staircase
Show how our stories unfold.
Everytime I hear a song
My father used to sing to me
The sweet words of an Irish lullaby
I get the feeling, I need
A little taste of home, home home
Just a little taste of home, home, home
No matter where I go
I need a little taste of home.
I just bought my ticket
And I pick up my phone
Calling to tell you, I’m comin’
Home, home, home
I need a little taste of home.
Home, home, home
I need a little taste of home.
Thirsty for adventure all my youth
Chasing all my freedoms
Down Liberty Avenue

You’ve got forever in your eyes
And I’ve got so much on my mind
I didn’t want to waste, didn’t want to waste your time
You’ve got a heart made of gold
Someday somebody’s gonna hold
But those hands, those hands aren’t mine
I’m only trying to save you in the end
Praying that I didn’t lose a friend
I hope you save all the letters that I wrote
Tuck me away with the stories that we told
Somewhere in a box in the back of your closet
And I hope you spin all the records that we played
Don’t let these scars make the music fade
Please don’t throw me away
You’ve got a right to be upset
You gave me everything you had
And I tried so hard to love you like that
I’m only trying to save you in the end
Just praying that I didn’t lose a friend
I hope you save all the letters that I wrote
Tuck me away with the stories that we told
Somewhere in a box in the back of your closet
And I hope you spin all the records that we played
Don’t let these scars make the music fade
