Josh McCausland is a filmmaker and multi-instrumentalist. He currently lives in Chicago. HIs style melds his early influences of  jazz and blues with his ever growing interest in neo classical and ambient music. Josh went to school in Nashville and studied film in school while always keep an ear open for new styles of music. In 2018 he joined forces with a friend and they started an ambient modular synth group called Signal Mountain. This was Josh's first dive into the experimental ambient scene. As a filmmaker his favorite part of finishing a film was always the score at the end. And in late 2018 he delved into his career as a composer and scored his first feature film as well as two short films proceeding that. From then. he has gone  on to receive millions of listeners for his piano solo pieces and release multiple records as a solo artist. His music often harkens to his biggest influences. Some of those being Nils Frahm, Trent Reznor, Mac Quayle and Hildur Guðnadóttir. 

Featuring dreamy, ambient pianos and synths, 'Brush Strokes' is a series of cinematic songs conveying a sense of calm and melancholy.
