Hello Artlist! Nice to meet you. I am a composer and producer from Philadelphia Pennsylvania, United States. Searching for Light is my personal artist project that is the pure culmination of my musical experiences and projects in the last decade. I’ve been in love with music since I was a young child, improvising my own piano compositions and experimenting with learning other instruments. With a passion for the world of art as a whole, I attended a pre-professional performing arts school prior to attending a university, where I studied film, photography, and music production. There, I developed a new appreciation for the way music and picture unite to tell stories. 

I come from a background of classical piano and producing electronic music, but in the past five years have immersed myself in production of pop, r&b, and indie music. I've always had a passion for film scores... some of the first songs I wrote being purely piano compositions. As I've learned and grown more as an artist, I have come to enjoy combining all aspects of my film sense and musicality - indie, electronic, and cinematic (with the occasional addition of vocals) into one form, which is Searching for Light. 

I believe that the blend of all these elements into my music as Searching for Light is what truly makes it unique. I absolutely love combining the ingredients of pop lyrical structure with ambient and cinematic production and composition. 

It is important to me that I am presented as an artist that has many layers, one that loves to explore new soundscapes and experiment with ideas in cinematic music that aren't typical - creating songs that are both instrumentally and lyrically driven. In future releases I plan to continue to accompany my compositions with vocals and lyrics, such as in my songs Imagination and Homeland, with full EPs containing my own vocals and vocal features.

It would be an honor to join the Artlist family, as I've heard many great things from many of my friends who are also members of the Artlist community. I spoke with my friend Sajan Nauriyal about his experience, and he encouraged me to apply after forwarding some of my music catalog to Nachson Rorick at Artlist.

It is such a blessing to be able to create, and I believe that my passion will translate to creators of film and video alike who are seeking to tell stories. What was once a small dream and passion of painting pictures through music has evolved into a much more developed vision of crafting soundscapes that provide a portal for the listener to explore their imagination.
