I am a songwriter at the core, a performing artist, and a producer. I am rooted in the mountains of Oregon but based in Nashville,TN.

I write from my own pain of my parents divorce, my loneliness in singleness, or about fear of current events. I write about hope and love in the midst of it. I know music can reach into spaces other forms cannot. It fills work trucks, teenage bedrooms, and crowded bars. It all starts with a song.

Write one song, every day. This is my discipline and it takes grit.

I've been active in the music industry for decades writing over 500 songs, and have 250 songs recorded. I’ve written in Nashville at BMI & ASCAP. I've had songs featured in national advertising campaigns for Toms Shoes and the Justice Conference. I've won a national songwriting contest for the Catalyst Conference for a gospel song titled "Beauty of the Cross" beating thousands of other applicants. 

I've written for other artists including Kris Allen (2009 American Idol Winner) and Shannon Bex of MTV’s super group Danity Kane. I'm also currently guitarist in the award winning band Precious Byrd playing 80 shows a year. 

I completed and released my debut album (a Wilderness Project) called Badlands featuring the New Zealand river themed song “Kerosene Creek.”

Art and philanthropy go hand in hand for me as I believe we should help others however we can. I’ve volunteered in multiple efforts to serve needs locally and across the world, including aid for the Tornado that ripped through Nashville in 2020.

I also enjoy surfing the Oregon coast and craft beverages.
